Olympus Camedia C-750 Ulta Zoom Digital Camera

THE CAMERA

Funny how a TV show can influence you into buying things, haha. I started watching the Filipino series Ang Mutya ng Section E, and the main lead, Ashtine Olviga, is always using both film and digital point-and-shoot cameras in real life. I absolutely loved the way her photos looked. If you check out her Instagram, she uses a Kodak Pixpro (more warm images), and honestly, it made me want one.

But I wasn’t about to spend a ton of money on a brand-new digital camera just to see if I’d enjoy it again, haha. So instead, I bid on one through an online thrift store and actually won this camera back in fall 2025.

It reminded me of the old Samsung digital point-and-shoot camera my parents used to own during the 2000’s. I remember it had up to 24 megapixels, and it was so much fun to use growing up. Sadly, it broke while I was in college, which honestly hurt a little because I loved that camera.

I do think the old Samsung took sharper and clearer photos compared to this one, but this camera has a completely different charm. The photos have this soft, dreamy, almost nostalgic 90s vibe. Sometimes imperfections are what make photos beautiful in the first place.

The screen is so tiny, which is definitely a downside. But overall, I really like this camera and the kind of memories it captures.
